Dr. Matthew Pennell is originally from Jacksonville, Illinois but now calls the St. Louis area home. He graduated from Southern Illinois University Carbondale with a bachelor's degree in Exercise Science - Kinesiology. While finishing his undergraduate degree, Matt served as a life coach and personal trainer for "Strong Survivors", a cancer rehabilitation program.

After graduating from SIU-C, Matt attended Logan University in Chesterfield, Missouri where he received a doctoral degree in Chiropractic and a master's degree in Sports Science and Rehabilitation. Following graduation from Logan, he joined the team of physicians at Performance Chiropractic. At the office, Matt utilizes a diverse knowledge of athletic injury assessment, Active Release Technique (A.R.T.) certification and various adjusting techniques (Diversified, Thompson, Gonstead, etc.) to provide the highest level of treatment for his patients.

In his spare time, Matt enjoys playing golf, exercising and visiting with family and friends. Matt uses his passion for sports by joining the St. Louis Sports Commission Associate Board. He is currently a member of the Chesterfield Chamber of Commerce and has served on the chamber's young professional board since 2015. Matt was also named the Chesterfield YMCA's youngest board member in 2015 and continues to be active for the YMCA today.
